Mother Trees: Manassas-1, 2, 3
Three old chestnut trees in Manassas, Virginia. I’ve been visiting these every year for several years. Many of our seeds this year come from these trees. All three drop around the same time, most falling in mid to late September. Produces medium size nuts.

Two chestnut trees in Sterling, VA. Trunk diameters of around 8 inches. Produces nuts that are small to medium sized.

This tree in Warsaw, VA is said to be over 200 years old. It’s still producing medium to large nuts.
